An organization comprised of mothers who lost a son or daughter while serving in one of the branches of the US Military. GSM is a Veterans Service Organization (VSO) founded in 1928 and which received its Congressional Charter in 1984. GSM honors and remembers the sons and daughters who made the ultimate sacrifice and advocates on behalf of veterans and their families.

Kirtland AFB Family Advocacy Program (FAP), Other Programs and Services

The Family Advocacy Program advocates to ensure the overall health and well-being of military families. It offers free programming to active-duty military personnel and the members of their families, as well as, to retirees and their families as resources permit. There’s no cost to qualifying members for the programs offered by the FAP. Programs are free to active-duty military and their family members. Service is also available to retirees and their family members on a space-available basis. Some programs are also available to DOD civilian employees. Among services provided; anger management programs, couples counseling and parenting classes
